The following may contain spoilers for Disney + ‘s WandaVision. We do not know yet.

The first link in the Disney + Marvel cinematic universe, WandaVision, has quickly gone from a weird sitcom parody to a true superhero story, and star Elizabeth Olsen – the Wanda part of that weird title – is causing some great and exciting things to come. TVLine, inspired by Mark Hamill’s digitally aged appearance at the end of the season The Mandalorian, I recently spoke with Olsen and decided to go straight to the point and ask her if there’s anything like this (specifically “a casting she can’t believe hasn’t yet leaked”) arriving on her show. Olsen, who is very confident or doesn’t care about managing expectations, answered with a simple “yes”. TVLine he said he then laughed and added: “I’m really excited”.

That’s all we have to do, but it certainly looks intriguing. It’s important to note that it doesn’t look like Olsen specifically said that there’s an exciting surprise character showing up, so it’s not necessarily like Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian, but this is the kind of thing that the MCU is already very good at. If we believe that she is talking about an unexpected character who comes for a visit, who is it? Doctor Strange would be an easy choice, as Wanda will be in his next film, but it wouldn’t be as exciting as Luke Skywalker’s appearance. Aaron Taylor-Johnson appearing as Wanda’s dead brother Pietro / Quicksilver would be wild, but the internet looks pretty confident that it will actually be Evan Peters’s version of Quicksilver from the Fox X-Men films that will make an appearance – establishing some kind of connection to the series and the MCU, now that they’re all under Disney’s roof.

So again, if people are waiting for Evan Peters’s Quicksilver to be on WandaVision, it would really be an exciting revelation on par with Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian? Is there anything that could, now that we know how to expect something? Wanda is (kind of sometimes) Magneto’s daughter in the comics, so maybe Michael Fassbender could come? We don’t know, but just thinking about it and launching ideas like this is in danger of spoiling or creating unfairly high expectations, so it really was kind of mean of Olsen to bring it up in the first place.
