Elizabeth Olsen admits she was ‘very aware’ of the weight of the name Olsen when she started acting

Elizabeth Olsen was unable to escape the weight of her twin sisters’ names, but she found a way to make her own way.

The 32 year old WandaVision actress adorns the second digital cover of Grazia USAedition of New York Fashion Week, where she talked about living under the shadow of her famous sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley.

“Nepotism is one thing and I am very aware of that,” said Elizabeth of being aware of her sisters’ fame and influence when she started auditioning in Hollywood.

The actress added: “And of course, I always wanted to do this alone”.

Although Elizabeth eventually forged her own career with leading roles in The Avengers and the Disney + series WandaVision, she always admitted to love the style of her older sisters.

In January, the actress said she always wanted the same clothes as her sisters.

“Everything my sisters have used in my entire life, I wanted to use today. I want your jackets. I want your shoes. I want your dresses,” he admitted. “And this is something I never grew up on.”

The actress explained that she used to visit second hand stores to try to find clothes similar to those of her sisters, both 34 years old.

“And then, during that time, I was just going through every second hand store and wearing all, everything, except that mine became more like Annie Hall-y,” she said during an interview on The Jess SiriusXM Cagle Show.

Still, Elizabeth said there were many things that made her feel unique about her sisters, for example, her love of the theater.

“My sisters did not like to do live theater. They did not love the live audience. They were very shy and it made them nervous, ”she explained.

“I was the one who made everyone come to see me play a musical that we did in two weeks and they had to see three of them every summer,” Elizabeth continued. “They have to go to all dance performances … it was always unique for me that I loved theater, dancing and singing.”
