“Deciding to allow this tape to be seen publicly this way now was not easy,” said Mia Farrow’s 35-year-old daughter.

Dylan Farrow on Sunday morning shared a long message in which she discussed her anxiety about the next issue of Allen v. Farrow HBO docuseries.

Farrow, 35, said she had been losing sleep during Sunday’s episode due to a video in which she, at 7, describes her mother’s alleged sexual abuse by her adoptive father, Woody Allen.

“Deciding to allow this tape to now be seen publicly in this way was not easy,” wrote Farrow on social media. “I myself have resisted watching it until now. It has long been stored in a closer location. Scared. Buried.”

Referring to “Little Dylan”, Farrow said he hardly gave the tape to docuseries filmmakers Amy Ziering and Kirby Dick because he wanted to protect the child from the “public opinion court” that he could treat as an adult.

“But I decided to let them share in the hope that Little Dylan’s voice could now help other people who suffer in silence to feel heard, understood and less alone,” wrote Farrow. “If you watch this video, I very much hope that you will do it with empathy, compassion and an open mind and heart and don’t use it as an opportunity to attack, turn around, criticize, mock or avoid Little Dylan further.”

Farrow continued, “I hope this tape will help us find ways to allow painful secrets to safely come out of their closets so that we can all heal and move forward with strength and peace. No longer ashamed, buried, scared, sad and silent. . “

His post came before Sunday’s second installment of the four-part documentary series, which will include previously unseen footage of 7-year-old Dylan recounting the alleged abuse.

Allen has denied and continues to vehemently deny all allegations of abuse.
