Dying Light 2 Collector’s Edition may have leaked through a European retailer

It looks like what looks like a Dying Light 2 Collecter’s Edition leaked through a European retailer, suggesting that the game may arrive soon after all.

The developer of Dying Light 2, Techland, promised very recently that it will share some “interesting news” about the game “soon”. But a list that was uploaded by a retailer in the Czech Republic (image below), we may have seen more than we should at this stage of the game’s marketing campaign.

The supposed collector’s edition of the game (thanks, Resetera) comes with a variety of extras, including a steel book box, an art book, a flashlight and some stickers, as well as a statue that shows what appears to be the protagonist of the game by jumping from a pole to hit a zombie in the skull. Nice.

Techland hasn’t officially revealed this item yet, so consider its existence with a pinch of salt. That said, it’s a very specific and realistic thing to do a mock-up for the purpose of fraud, so it’s likely to be a legitimate leak.

The fact that we have a feature like this simulated, however, suggests that we will at least have a confirmation of the release date soon. That “exciting news” that the developer promised earlier this year? It looks like we’ll hear about it soon.

Dying Light 2 was originally scheduled to be released in the spring of 2020, but last year, at that time, the game was delayed by Techland.

The game is in development for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. It was also one of the first cross-generation games to be officially announced, so you will also be able to purchase it for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.
