Drunk dancer tries epic ‘Dirty Dance’ movement and pops her neck

Someone needs to put this “baby” in a corner.

An intoxicated dance teacher redefined “breakdance” after landing terribly in her head while trying to recreate Baby and Johnny’s iconic “Dirty Dancing” ride with her boyfriend.

“Everything went so fast,” said Millie Slennett, 25, of the crushing moment that has since gone viral.

“I didn’t have my professional limit,” the Sydney, Australia native told Kennedy News. “We had a few drinks – but I think having a little bit in my system may have helped with my fall because I was a little more relaxed.”

The clumsy boogie started after Millie challenged her sister Rosie, 19, to a dance in her family’s garden. They wanted to see who could best replicate the 1987 film “Dirty Dancing”, in which Johnny by Patrick Swayze lifts Jennifer Greyy’s Baby over his head as the 1980s hit “I’ve Had the Time of My Life” plays .

Millie was confident that she and her boyfriend, 1.80 meters tall, “had it in the bag”, since she was a dance teacher and her sister is just a stylist. In addition, his brother’s attempt was “terrible”, according to Millie.

In the 23-second video shot by his sister, things started promisingly with the professional dancer taking a running leap into Justin’s arms, as he lifted her over his head so that she was parallel to the floor.

“I thought we had it right,” recalled Millie, who also hosts the podcast “The Dance Pod”, about her not-so-triumphant moment in the spotlight.

However, her recreation goes awry after she falls on her boyfriend’s shoulders and falls on her head, causing her neck and body to bend violently like a folding chair.

“I was trying to lift my legs higher and then they were above my head,” said the choreographer, who practices several dance sequences at home with Justin. “It went from good to bad in about 0.3 seconds.”

“I’m so lucky. It could have been much worse … I could have died.”

At that point, Rosie stopped filming and her family ran to see if Millie could still move her members.

The improvised stunt double later came to the hospital, where CT scans revealed that she miraculously escaped any damage other than bruising. After analyzing the images of the accident, doctors were surprised that she was able to walk.

“I know that I am very lucky. It could have been much worse, ”said Millie. “I could have broken my neck or damaged my spine. I could have died. “

Instagram viewers were equally confused about how she managed to get out of the scene unscathed.

“WOW !!!!!! Glad you are well, this is so extreme”, exclaimed a commentator relieved about the evocative saga of “Unbreakable”.

Another wrote: “My God, Millie, my toes clotted, my belly turned. I close my eyes. Terrifying! “

However, the shocking clip supposedly upset Millie’s father so much that he swears to erase it from his phone.

As for the dance routine, Millie said that “I would not recommend trying after a few drinks”.

“Definitely try it in a pool first or something.”
