Draymond Green scratched the Warriors game against Heat with ankle pain

Draymond Green will not play for the Warriors on Wednesday night against the Miami Heat at the Chase Center.

Golden State scratched Green due to pain in his right ankle shortly before the complaint, with Mychal Mulder replacing Green on the Golden State team. Juan Toscano-Anderson started in the center.

Green started each of the Warriors’ previous seven games in the center, while Kevon Looney (sprained his left ankle) and James Wiseman (sprained his left wrist) were injured. The 30-year-old has recorded at least 10 assists in all but one game, including 16 in the Warriors’ victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday. His 86 assists in those seven games have been overtaken by a center in a series of seven games over the past 50 years.

Looney is expected to return on the Warriors’ next trip, while Wiseman will be reevaluated on Thursday.
