Draymond Green and Klay Thompson had no patience with the Detroit Pistons green grapes on Saturday night after the Golden State Warriors defeated them 118-91.
Well, it wasn’t so much the Pistons, but Rodney McGruder, who tried to get involved with the Warriors after the final bell. He approached the Warriors tunnel and tried to talk to them about something that Juan Toscano-Anderson said to his Pistons teammate, Wayne Ellington, in the first half of the match.
Pistons swingman Rodney McGruder just came down near the Warriors tunnel after the game and was yelling at some Warriors players as they got off the ground. He had to be pushed back a few times by Pistons employees because it was getting hot.

None of his Pistons companions followed him and he was pushed around quite easily, but the incident caught the attention of Thompson and Green, who mocked McGruder mercilessly for his tough act.
Klay gets spicy
Thompson was not playing and watched the sideline. But he was on the microphone moments after McGruder’s uproar and was immediately spicy.
Rodney McGruder went to the Warriors’ bench after the game, so the broadcast team asked Klay Thompson what was going on:
“This guy might be out of the league soon, he might be mad about it. Who knows.”

“This guy might be out of the league soon, he might be mad about it. Who knows. … trying to start something like he’s a good player or something. It’s like bro, get out of here. “
Wow, Klay, why don’t you tell us how you really feel?
Draymond roasts McGruder
Thompson was cutting, but Green was brutal. He was in the locker room when McGruder tried to start something with his teammates, but he attacked McGruder during his post-game media session when a reporter asked him what happened after the final bell. (Warning: the video contains graphic language.)
“I don’t know. I was in the locker room. But apparently he was defending Wayne Ellington. When the hell did Rodney McGruder become the tough guy? I don’t know, man, everyone in the tough league these days. It’s crazy. I saw a lot of guys Tough guys this year. I don’t understand. And nobody does anything. Like you really wanted to do something, you could have done it. Walking around talking shit like he’s a tough guy. Get the hell out of here. The fucking tough guy Rodney. Besides, I’m rocking Juan T. Juan T was about to bring that Town Bidness S *** out of him. Yes, I’m rocking Juan T on this anyway.
“Also, I think it was something that Juan said in the first or second period to Wayne Ellington. You have nothing better to do that you are still thinking about something from the first or second period when you were not in the game. So apparently Wayne Ellington must have gone to the bank. I think he went and told Rodney McGruder because he wasn’t in the game. Yes, I don’t know. There are a lot of tough guys in the league these days for me. But I don’t know anyone for fear of any. damn Rodney McGruder, like he’s kidding me? Insane. But Klay said it better. Klay said it better. Leave it at that. “
Toscano-Anderson saw Green’s speech and appreciated his teammate defending him.
We agree. Draymond Green is a treasure.
