Draymond Green jokes about all the times Steph Curry yelled at him

Steph Curry is known for being cool, calm and controlled – at least in the public eye.

If you ask Draymond Green, however, it is a different story.

Television cameras captured Curry, frustrated and thrilled in the second half of the Warriors’ terrible defeat by 130-104 against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday, shouting emphatically at his teammates on the bench.

It was the most upsetting thing that Dub Nation had seen Curry, perhaps, of all time. But, according to Green, Curry screams often, even at him.

“Steph yelled at me a few times,” Green told reporters after the Warriors’ training on Friday. “It was about throwing the ball, actually.”

“Like, kick the ball!” Green shouted, in his best impression of Curry – although he noticed that he was paraphrasing and left some words well chosen.

“A little different from the words I use,” suggested Green. “But yes, he yelled at me before. For sure.”

In fact, after a short pause, Green remembered another altercation.

“Remember when I got into this with Steve [Kerr] at the [Oklahoma City]”Green asked Anthony Slater of Atletico.”[Steph] was sitting next to me. He got on top of me and started yelling at me. He yelled at me several times. “

“Don’t try to be fooled by Steph,” warned Green. “He yells at me.”

While Green may ease the situation now, Curry’s frustration reaching the boiling point was obviously a cause for concern on Thursday night. Green explained why.

“The frustration was because we were playing softly on the defensive,” he said. “We had talked about how to get to the ball and increase the pressure, but we weren’t doing it.”

Hopefully for the Warriors, Friday’s training was helpful in putting that frustration aside. Golden State has lost four consecutive games, the best of the season, and will try to fix the ship during a quick two-game homestand. They will have a difficult task to do, as they face the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Lakers at the Chase Center starting on Sunday.
