The police took action when detective Brian Price, a 12-year-old veteran and owner of two dogs, was assigned to the case.
He made contact with a 26-year-old suspect after just two days.
“I followed up and managed to locate the suspect and the dog in the 11 Mile and Van Dyke area,” said Price.
Little Bella was safe and came home.
“The dog was so excited that he was unable to write a statement,” said Price.

But that’s not all, as he received a confession from the Door Dash driver. The suspect now faces up to four years in prison for theft.
And Det. Price was honored for his work.
“I came back for a standing ovation. It was incredible,” he said. “They rewarded me with a stuffed dog here. It was a fantastic time.”

Bella is safe and sound after being found and returned by the police.
