Did JJ Watt leave Houston? Steelers players and fans react

It is no mystery that Steelers fans dreamed of adding former three-time defensive player of the year, JJ Watt, to the squad. The chimera started to gain momentum when Derek Watt joined TJ Watt here in Steel City. That feeling started to intensify when former Texas coach and general manager Bill O’Brien started throwing the team on the floor. Now that the franchise’s quarterback, Deshaun Watson, is demanding a Houston switch, along with the fact that Texans are on the brink of some terrible years ahead, it is believed that JJ Watt will have the opportunity to end his career in another place.

Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network broke the news of JJ’s imminent departure. Garafolo went so far as to say that the Texan players already knew that the older Brother Watt had played his last game as a Texan. Unsurprisingly, Steelers fans, and even players, turned to social media to show their excitement about Watt’s availability, in addition to JJ’s clear interest in playing with his brothers, you could call the reaction frenzy.

Almost immediately after the news broke, Steelers’ external linebacker TJ Watt went on Twitter to remind people how dominant his older brother has been.

A tweet in which Steelers addresses, Zach Banner responded with a gif of how he feels about the situation:

Here are some of the Steelers nation’s funniest tweets:
