Dell’s new G15 is a spotted gaming laptop that arrives in China first

Dell launched its new G15 gaming laptop, which will be available first in China before reaching other regions of the world. The industrial design of the laptop is entirely new, although the most notable feature is the painting.

Yes, they are stains of paint that you see in the photos. Dell says the new G15 uses “low-VOC water-based ink for a durable and environmentally conscious design”; is available in colors including Spector Green with Speckles, Phantom Gray with Speckles, Dark Shadow Gray and Obsidian Black. Our advice: go with the stains.

We still don’t have the complete specifications for the new G15, but it can be equipped with Nvidia RTX 3000 series graphics cards and has “three performance options that go up to 115W of TDP”. The screen is a 15.6-inch panel with a refresh rate of up to 360Hz. Dell says the G15’s thermals have been enhanced thanks to a design based on Alienware technology, and there is an optional 4-zone RGB keyboard that uses AlienFX software for customization.

The new G15 will go on sale in China today and global availability is expected sometime in April. We asked Dell for more details.
