‘Degrassi: Next Generation’ actor Jahmil French, dead at 29

I ask that you keep your family and friends in your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.”

No details on the cause of death were made available.

French’s other credits include Netflix’s “soundtrack”, the pop series “Let’s Get Physical” and the movie “Boost”.

The creator of “soundtrack”, Joshua Safran, in Twitter honored the young star, writing: “I can confirm that my good friend, co-worker and general inspiration, Jahmil French, passed away yesterday. Only by posting because I see the story spreading. I will have more to say about him later. everyone just processing this devastating news. ”
Stefan Brogren, a Canadian actor, producer and director who was a member of the French cast in “Degrassi”, praised the actor for his performance on the show.

“He played Dave with such sensitivity and consideration and he could make me laugh so easily,” wrote Brogren. “It was a pleasure to work with him and we will miss him. This is a real loss.”
