But no one had a chance against Brady vs. Brees at Fox
Javicia Leslie debuted as the new cover crusade on CW’s “Batwoman” last night, but its start didn’t shine nearly as close (a Bat sign) as Ruby Rose’s.
Sunday’s prime time was dominated by Fox’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers against New Orleans Saints NFL Divisional Playoffs, which ended just before 10 pm on the east coast. Due to the nature of live sports, the Nielsen numbers below for Fox should be considered subject to adjustment. The final figures are expected today.

The new “Batwoman” look got just a rating of 0.1 last night in the main demo and 663,000 viewers in total. Back on Sunday, October 6, 2019, Rose’s “Batwoman” debuted with 0.5 audience and 1.8 million viewers – meaning that the second season’s premiere last night dropped 80% in the demo since the series premiere.

This 2019 broadcast had the advantage of being in the fall instead of in the winter. And although it also went against the NFL competition, Rose’s “Batwoman” did not start against the playoffs. At that time, the series would drop significantly among adults aged 18 to 49 at Week 2, when it scored 0.3.
The holiday weekend also didn’t help Leslie get off to a good start. Delayed display numbers can provide a closer comparison.
Fox was the first in ratings with a rating of 6.4 in the demographic segment coveted by the advertiser from 18 to 49 and in total viewers with an average of 23.1 million, according to preliminary figures. The football game, which ran from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm on the east coast, had a rating of 8.0 and 28.8 million viewers in total. At 10, which is not a schedule that Fox usually schedules on a national basis, a special screening of the new animated comedy “The Great North” had a rating of 2.6 million and 8.4 million viewers. An episode of “Family Guy” at 9:30 am, which was also coded as special due to the time interval, had 1.1 and 3.3 million viewers.
CBS came in second in ratings with 0.6 and in viewers with 6 million. “60 Minutes” in 7 attracted 1.1 and 10.2 million viewers. At 8, “NCIS: Los Angeles” had 0.6 and 5.4 million viewers. “NCIS: New Orleans” at the age of 9 had 0.5 and 4.9 million viewers. A repetition followed.
