Data show an active outbreak in Colorado Spring In-N-Out with 60 positive cases from the team

COLORADO SPRINGS – The most recent data from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment shows an active outbreak at the Colorado Springs In-N-Out site with 60 staff members who have tested positive so far.

The state’s website was last updated on Wednesday, reporting that 60 employees tested positive on nine people who are considered probable cases.

According to the health department, an outbreak was determined on December 6.

While the building looked busy on Christmas Eve with a line of people waiting near the heaters outside and a line of cars passing the building, Aunt Dillon said “there are maybe four to five people at a time” inside.

“I’m really excited to eat In-N-Out because I haven’t eaten in a few years,” said Dillon after taking his meal from inside. Dillon said he is “not too concerned” about the ongoing COVID-19 outbreaks among restaurant employees.

“It was very clean. Everyone is washing everything as they pass, there are not tons of people inside. It is very empty inside,” said Dillon.

This site was one of two opened in the state last month with the other site in Aurora, which also has an outbreak reported with 20 positive employees and 16 probable cases.

In-N-Out announced plans to join the Victory Ridge project in Colorado Springs in late 2017. Along with a restaurant, development plans included a 97,900 square foot In-N-Out Burger distribution facility and a building 150,000 square foot office building.

We are still waiting for a response from the health department about the outbreak.
