‘Danger!’ with Alex Trebek was ‘moving’

“Deadpool” star Ryan Reynolds – famous for his sarcastic catchphrases and viral pranks – was blatantly gloomy in detailing his experience working with Alex Trebek in his final week of “Jeopardy!”

“It is an honor (and a little painful) to be with Alex Trebek one last time on Jeopardy” Reynolds tweeted. His moving message was accompanied by an emoji from the Canadian flag.

The episode, recorded just before the death of the dear host in November, after a brave public battle against pancreatic cancer, aired on Tuesday night.

Reynolds, 44, joined colleague Canuck Trebek to give a clue in the “Movies” category. He appeared from his home in the video segment.

His appearance included a clip from his upcoming film “Free Guy”, in which Trebek filmed a cameo while undergoing cancer treatment in 2019

“In my 2020 film ‘Free Guy’, I play a bank teller who realizes that he is really an NPC, short for that type of character in an open-world video game?” Reynolds asked the contestants.

The game’s geek response: non-player character.

The trailer for “Free Guy” brings in Trebek. Near the end of the action-packed promotion, Trebek’s iconic voice can be heard describing the character of Reynolds, the NPC hero known as Guy.

Trebek died on November 8 at the age of 80.

The mustachioed “Magnum, PI” double started to host “Jeopardy!”, Which originally worked from 1964 to 1979, when it was revived in 1984.

He was nominated 31 times for the Daytime Emmy Award for Best Game Show Presenter, taking the trophy home seven times.

“He was kind and funny. In addition to being curious, robust, generous, comforting and, of course, Canadian, ”said Reynolds in a previous tribute tweet. “We love you, Alex. It always will be. “
