Wearing an all-white suit, Lauper jumped around the stage singing his latest single with an EDM inflection, appropriately titled “Hope”.
“See me without strings attached / See me now / And see us together / And hope is what you came for / A fall in the time we shared / Wait and don’t give up / Don’t give up”, the singer whispered, dancing a DJ cheered her up behind of a record player.
Presented in the compilation album Japanese Singles Collection – Biggest Hits, Lauper first revealed the music video for the animated track in 2017, before officially releasing “Hope” as a single in 2019. Last month, the singer also performed the track during her 10th annual Home for the Holidays event, which went virtual this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
