Cyberpunk fans finally discover what V is doing in bed

Thanks to a creative mod that allows for a third-person camera change, Cyberpunk 2077 fans finally solve one of the game’s greatest mysteries.

To say that Cyberpunk 2077 having a difficult start would be a massive understatement. With a long list of bugs, crashes and other technical issues, Cyberpunk 2077 it is almost impossible to play for many players now. Although, perhaps one of the most infamous in the game, the supposed flaw came in the way the character of Player V sleeps in the game.

The position where V sleeps Cyberpunk 2077 has been the subject of many online memes since it was first noticed. Considering how the whole game is played from a first-person perspective, many players found it incredibly strange as whenever V woke up after sleeping, they were sleeping in bed perpendicularly. As if their chest was on the bed with their legs hanging out.

Fortunately, thanks to a mod inside Cyberpunk 2077 which allows the player’s perspective to alternate between the first and the third person, finally shows what V is doing while sleeping. While it makes some sense in terms of what they are doing in the game, it still looks pretty bizarre.

The fact is that V decides to sleep consistently horizontally in bed, instead of sleeping at a vertical angle. One thing would be if the dystopian future presented in Cyberpunk 2077 included a new inventive mattress that allows users to sleep horizontally. Maybe even have an in-game ad featured in Cyberpunk 2077 talking about these new inventive mattresses, but the fact that the mattress still has a pillow and a blanket that sits vertically on the bed is still quite strange.

Fortunately, this solves the great mystery of why V is sleeping like this. For a long time, players assumed it was just another one in a long line of common bugs presented in Cyberpunk 2077, but it is now clear that this was an intentional design choice made by CD Projekt Red and, for better or worse, is how V should sleep in the game.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds Cyberpunk 2077. Of course, the game in its current state still has many bugs, but very similar The Witcher 3 before that, Cyberpunk 2077 has the potential to fix all the glaring issues that currently affect the game. However, hopefully, that day will come sooner or later, due to the extent of the bugs and flaws in the game. Only time will tell.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia and Xbox One, with the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S versions currently in development.
