Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 and Xbox One Update 1.10 bring better frame rates

Cyberpunk 2077 has long had problems with frame rate performance on consoles.

Players on state-of-the-art systems, such as Xbox One and PlayStation 4, had difficulty running the game.

With problems like low frame rate and other frustrating problems, console players had to stay out of the game or play on other platforms.

Thanks to a new report from Digital Foundry, however, that may have changed.

Cyberpunk 2077 FPS on Xbox One and PS4

During a recent Digital Foundry performance test, it was discovered that Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.10 brought some useful fps improvements.

The performance test indicates that the game does not drop below 20 fps any more, which was a continuing problem seen in the 1.02 update.

The test included playing during busy periods with additional NPCs on the screen.

The frame rate remained above 20 fps, but dropped to as low as 16 fps during the 1.02 update.

Unfortunately, this does not mean that the problem has been completely resolved.

There are still problems with frame rate drops, and Digital Foundry notes that while the game is “closer to how [they] hoped it was at launch, “it’s not” great.

This may make it easier for players on consoles to enjoy the game, but it still won’t work the way it should have been originally played.

The latest update for Cyberpunk 2077 is version 1.11, which is basically a hotfix.

The update is not intended to address any performance issues, but it does fix a game-breaking quest bug with Takemura that started to occur with version 1.10.

It also solves item randomization and other issues that the previous update brought.

There are still several updates coming up for Cyberpunk 2077, so we are likely to see additional FPS fixes soon.
