In an article published on Wednesday, the newspaper reported that the aide had relayed that Cuomo had made her go to his home to help him with a cell phone problem, but then he closed the door to his room, stuck his hand under the door. blouse and stroked it, said the source. The Times Union first reported on the advisor’s story on Tuesday, when she became the sixth woman to speak out against Cuomo. The report of the attempt to palpate the governor’s mansion was reported by the newspaper on Wednesday.
In a statement to The Hill, the governor denied the aide’s report published on Wednesday.
“As I said yesterday, I never did anything like that. The details of this report are distressing. I will not talk about the details of this or any other allegation given the ongoing review, but I am confident in the outcome of the attorney general’s report,” he said. Cuomo in the statement.
Cuomo said at a news conference on Tuesday that he was unaware of any other allegations against him, although The Times Union published and asked his office about the new allegations hours before the conference.
Despite Republican and Democratic lawmakers, including Democratic leaders of the New York State Senate and Assembly calling for Cuomo’s resignation, the governor said he would not resign. Attorney General Letitia James asked two veteran lawyers to lead an investigation into the allegations of sexual harassment against Cuomo.
