Sandra Lee reacted to the latest sexual harassment charges against her longtime ex-boyfriend, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, with just three shocked words: “Oh my God”.
Lee, 54, made the comment, but declined to comment further when asked by The Post about a New York Times article published on Saturday in which former Cuomo employee Charlotte Bennett accused the governor of a series of unpleasant comments who left her convinced that he “wanted to sleep with” her.
Bennett, 25, spoke less than a week after another former Cuomo employee, Lindsey Boylan, 36, detailed his own sexual harassment charges against the 63-year-old governor, including that he kissed her on the mouth without warning.
Cuomo on Sunday attributed this to making “jokes” in the workplace that he said could be interpreted as “unwanted flirtation”, but denied any bad intentions – and insisted that he never had any improper physical contact with anyone.
When Bennett’s allegations surfaced on Saturday night, Lee posted a photo of a serene California seaside scene on Instagram with the message: “Sending everyone peace and love and memories of Malibu! The best sunsets of all time, thank God for the Ocean! “
The famous chef and Food Network participant started dating Cuomo in 2005, after his divorce from Kerry Kennedy, with whom he shares three daughters.
After more than a decade together, the couple collapsed in 2019, living separate lives in silence for months before publicly confirming their separation.
Since then, Cuomo has not hidden the fact that he is looking for love.
His administration agreed on Sunday to let Attorney General Letitia James find an independent investigator to investigate allegations of sexual harassment.
