Cryptic Xbox Series X Tease makes fans go crazy with speculation

A new provocation by an important Xbox X Series insider has left Xbox fans wild with speculation. So far, 2021 has been a slow year for Xbox gamers. Last month, The medium, an exclusive Xbox console, launched but failed to light the world on fire. At the end of the year, Xbox fans Halo Infinite and more to wait for, but right now, there’s not much to be excited about other than the Xbox Game Pass, which added some great games this week.

That said, prominent Xbox member Jez Corden apparently launched a tempting tease this week. On Twitter, Xbox internal colleague, Klobrille, criticized the gaming media about the perceived lack of knowledge when it comes to the original Xbox and what Microsoft is trying to do with the brand. Responding to that, Corden answered with “we haven’t seen anything yet”, followed by “ah, man”.

Now, as you can see, this answer is quite enigmatic in its implications. On the one hand, it appears that Corden is suggesting that the Xbox media approach is going to get worse. However, given Corden’s reputation as an insider, and given his tendency to launch vague provocations like this from time to time, many Xbox fans have taken this as a hint that something big is going to happen with the Xbox. And, of course, it is possible that both things are true at the same time.

Interestingly, all of this comes behind rumors that Microsoft is preparing to buy Techland, the developer behind Dying light Series. However, today, the Polish company overturned these acquisition rumors.

Microsoft is an unimaginably large company, with a ton of resources to play with, and for the past 12 months the Xbox has been a great example of that. Microsoft is not just pouring a ton of money into acquisitions, but aggressively expanding services.

For now, it is not clear what Corden wants to achieve or what will come of the possible provocation. That said, this uncertainty has not stopped Xbox fans from going crazy with speculation in responses and elsewhere.
