Trying to isolate a football team is almost impossible in the current era of instant information and social media. This falls on the players, not the team, who can emphasize the importance of being focused on the task at hand, but can only hope that their players are as attuned to the organization’s wants and needs as those who coach them. And if players want to know, they will find out.
This is, again, their job. They are paid to try to win football games and are well aware that, after losing to Pittsburgh last week, none of those other results matter if the Colts don’t win their own game first. Leaving the scoreboard checking later, of course, but turning Lucas Oil Stadium into a closed circuit television seems unnecessary.
