Clyburn: House can wait until after Biden’s first 100 days to send impeachment articles to the Senate

“We will do the vote that we should take in the House and (House Speaker Nancy Pelosi) will determine when is the best time to get that vote and appoint the administrators and forward the legislation to the Senate,” Clyburn told Jake Tapper of CNN at ” State of the Union “.

“It turns out, if it weren’t for 100 days, it could – let’s give President-elect Biden the 100 days he needs to get his agenda up and running, and maybe we’ll send the articles sometime after that,” added Democrat from Carolina South.

Pelosi said on Friday that Democrats are prepared to move forward this week with Trump’s impeachment for his role in last week’s deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol, if he does not resign. Democrats plan to present their impeachment resolution on Monday, which already has almost 190 co-sponsors.
