Chrissy Teigen is getting her ducks in a row before the new year.
The author of the cookbook “Cravings” revealed on Tuesday that she is “4 weeks sober” after posting a video of her dancing on board an elegant yacht while on vacation in St. Barts with her husband John Legend and her two sons: daughter Luna, 4, and son Miles, 2.
Now, the ex-swimsuit model is opening up about what motivated her decision to sober up when 2021 approached.
“A month ago, on my birthday, I got this book from my doctor and friend” Teigen, who turned 35 on November 30, wrote about a photo from Instagram Stories from Holly Whitaker’s book “Quit Like a Woman: The Radical Choose not to drink in an alcohol-obsessed culture. “

“I was sick of doing an a– of myself in front of people (I’m still ashamed), tired of drinking during the day and feeling bad at 6 am, unable to sleep,” continued Teigen, adding, “I’ve been sober since then. “
Regardless of whether her followers chose the same lifestyle she accepted, Teigen pressed: “Even if you don’t see yourself doing it or just don’t want to,” the book is still “an incredible read.”

Teigen and Legend experienced a pregnancy loss in September, losing their son Jack in Teigen’s second trimester of pregnancy – and the TV presenter reported much of her recovery process with her followers on social media.
Last month, Teigen revealed that she was in a “hole of depression and grief” after the loss of her pregnancy, but assured her friends and fans that she “will be cured soon”.

“I’m not tweeting a lot because I’m honestly in a pit of grief and depression, but don’t worry, as I have a lot of help around me to improve and I’ll be fixed soon,” she wrote in a tweet. “They’ll call when I’m better and ready to get it and you can come by and get me ok? Thanks and I love you!”

Weeks later, Teigen wrote an essay on Medium detailing his experience. She thanked her friends, family and fans as her family dealt with the devastating consequences.
“After a few nights in the hospital, my doctor told me exactly what I knew was coming – it was time to say goodbye,” said the star at the time of the loss. “He just wouldn’t survive it, and if it lasted longer, I wouldn’t survive either.”
