It seems that Chrissy Teigen felt that she could not be herself as one of the few people that President Joe Biden @POTUS Twitter account followed.
On Tuesday, the model – whose presence on social media is appreciated for her unapologetic humor – tweeted a bold request to the commander in chief.
“I’ve tweeted a handful of times since my esteemed @POTUS followers. In order for me to flourish as I do, I must ask you, please, sir, stop following me. I love you!!! It’s not you, it’s Me!!!!”
Shortly after his ironic request, the POTUS account apparently obeyed and stopped following it. In response, the 35-year-old cookbook author really broke loose by tweeting a series of rude language.
On Instagram, Teigen also posted screenshots of the POTUS account on Twitter, showing that the number of those followed by Biden’s official account dropped from 13 to 12.
While it is unclear exactly why Teigen felt he could not flourish as one of the rare few followed by the president, some on Twitter had his theories.
Others offered their opinions on why Biden followed her in the first place.
Teigen and Biden’s passing relationship on Twitter started on January 20 (inauguration day), when Teigen posted a simple “hello @joebiden, I was blocked by the president for four years, can I follow, please.”
Teigen was blocked by then President Donald Trump after trolling him and finally tweeting “Lolllllll, nobody likes you” in July 2017.
