Chrissy Teigen explains leaving Twitter: ‘It’s not the trolls’

Chrissy Teigen is sharing more details about her departure from Twitter.

After moving away from the social media platform on Wednesday, the 35-year-old model went to Instagram to better explain why she left Twitter, noting that it was not because of the “trolls”.

“It is true! [Twitter] no longer serves me as positively as negatively, so with that, I say goodbye to you, “Teigen prefaced your post on Instagram.” But I want to say that this is NOT Twitter’s fault at all – I believe they do everything they can to fight relentless bullying, any honestly, it’s not bullying !! You have no idea how much they got in touch and worked with my team and me personally. “

“It is not the platform,” reiterated Teigen.

“It’s not bullying. And it’s not the trolls,” noted Teigen. “I can deal with the trolls, although it weighs on you. It’s just me. I have to accept the fact that some people are not going to like me.”

“I hate to disappoint or upset people and I feel like I did it indefinitely,” she continued. “Someone can’t read that they disappointed you in some way every day, all day without physically absorbing that energy. I can feel it in my bones.”

Teigen also had time to criticize QAnon conspiracy theorists at the end of his Instagram reveal.

“And for the people of Qanon who think I’m in Guantanamo Bay now, lol. I saw ‘Q: in the storm’ and I saw what I’m working on here. And I, lol, I don’t care anymore.”

“Don’t brag,” concluded Teigen resoundingly.

Along with his long caption, Teigen shared a screenshot of his now defunct Twitter page. His account had 13.7 million followers.

John Legend’s model and wife, 42, announced she was leaving Twitter on Wednesday in a series of touching tweets.

“Hey. For over 10 years, you guys have been my world. Honestly, I owe a lot to this world that we created here,” she began. “I really consider many of you to be my true friends.”

Teigen then said that it is “time for me to say goodbye”.

“This is no longer as positive for me as it is negatively, and I think it is the right time to call something,” she added.

The “Chrissy’s Court” star explained that her “life goal is to make people happy” and that she feels “pain” when she fails to achieve that goal, and that she doesn’t feel that she identifies with the public image she was given like “the girl who hits hard back”.

“My desire to be loved and fear of irritating people made me someone you didn’t sign up for, and a different human being than I started here!” Teigen continued. “Live well, tweeters.”

She added: “Please know that all I ever cared about was you !!!”

Teigen then explained that she did not learn “how to block negativity”.
