Chrissy Teigen is the last celebrity to celebrate the 2021 presidential inauguration in a monochromatic look.
After former first ladies Michelle Obama, Hilary Clinton and Laura Bush attended today’s historic ceremony in different shades of purple, Teigen shared photos on Instagram of herself leaving Washington in an all-red look.
Her set included a vibrant red coat, which she wore with an elegant black bag. On his feet, Teigen opted for a pair of fire-heeled sandals from Bottega Veneta. Called Stretch Sandal, the shoe features an open mesh construction with an exaggerated square toe and sculpted heel. The shoe is finished with a leather sole. The Teigen pair currently sells for $ 930 at Nordstrom.com.
In a photo, Teigen is seen kissing her husband John Legend at the Lincoln Memorial. For the occasion, Legend opted for a camel coat, to which he added a black scarf, black pants and brown shoes.
Teigen’s all-red moment came after she marked her arrival in Washington with a visit to the Washington Monument on Tuesday night. There, the author of “Cravings” paid tribute to the 400,000 lives lost in the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. That night, Teigen opted for a gray overcoat, which he matched with a sliding silk dress. As for shoes, Teigen wore high boots – a look that is worthwhile for the model.
In addition to taking advantage of current historical events, Legend will also participate in the festivities.
Later in the evening, a primetime special, entitled “Celebrating America”, will highlight American heroes and is scheduled to take place at 8:30 pm Eastern time. The 90-minute program will be hosted by Tom Hanks and will feature speeches by Biden and Harris. Legend, Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters, Eva Longoria and Kerry Washington will also make appearances.
“Celebrating America” will be broadcast live on ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC and MSNBC. It will also be broadcast live on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Twitch.
