Celebrities friends of Meghan Markle show support amid complaints of bullying

Meghan Markle’s A-list friends are supporting her as she faces bullying claims from real aides.

In an unprecedented move, Buckingham Palace announced earlier this week that it would launch an investigation into the charges against the Duchess of Sussex, but Markle called the reports against her and Prince Harry “a smear campaign calculated on the basis of misleading and damaging misinformation “before his revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Markle’s famous friends seem to agree, as Gabrielle Union, Chance the Rapper, Halle Berry and more performed to defend the 39-year-old “Suits” star on social media.

“These British newspapers don’t really tolerate Prince Harry loving a black woman. He was right to leave. I don’t even think it was a difficult decision. They will never stop trying to separate Meghan. It is absolutely grotesque, ” tweeted Roxane Gay.

“And let your family question that decision and do all these passive-aggressive things to try to get ahead of Oprah’s interview,” continued Gay. “To punish you for protecting your wife and babies. Smh. It’s a shame. I know they are fine, but I feel for them nonetheless.

Union, 48, retweeted Gay’s messages and also tweeted a “Sure, Jan” GIF from “The Brady Bunch” along with a Times of London report stating that Markle faced a bullying complaint by one of her “closest advisers” at Kensington Palace.

Chance the Rapper also influenced the flow of headlines about the royal couple, who now live in California.

“Do you all get furious like HELL every time you talk sideways about Duchess Meghan?” he tweeted.

Berry, who rarely tweeted, issued a rare message, writing, “It is still about protecting black women”.

On Thursday, Markle’s best college friend, Lindsay Roth, took to Instagram to say, “Meg’s MO has always been kind; goodwill runs in your bones … ”

Jameela Jamil also criticized Markle’s allegations of alleged bullying and highlighted the suspicious moment of the drama.

“So let me see if I got it right. The palace was fine with all Meghan’s ‘bullies’ for years and years, even a few days before they feared she would publicly denounce them, ” said on Twitter Thursday.

Fans will hear Markle and Prince Harry’s side of the story in their long-awaited two-hour interview with Winfrey on Sunday. In a trailer for the conversation, Markle said the royal family was “perpetuating falsehoods” against her and Harry.

“I don’t know how they could expect that, after all this time, we would still be silent, if there was an active role that the Firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us,” says Markle, using a nickname for the royalty supposedly originated by the king George VI.

“And if that comes with the risk of losing things,” she adds, “it’s long since been lost.”
