CARROT Weather 5.0 is launched with a new design, more dialogue options and Snarky customization

The popular weather app, CARROT Weather, was updated today to version 5.0, introducing a series of updates to the app’s design and functionality, along with a change in the pricing structure.

There is an updated design that has been updated to be easier to navigate, with native UI elements that better match other iOS apps and revamped icons. A navigation bar at the bottom of the app makes it easy to access the various features.

A card-based system presents interesting weather data, such as the amount of rain expected during a storm or if it will be too windy during the day.

CARROT is smart, so it won’t load your screen with lots of useless cards. If you open the app on a relatively calm day, you will only be able to see the moon phase and sunrise cards. But when the weather starts to change, new cards will bubble to highlight potential risks: a big drop in pressure over the next 3 hours, strong winds this afternoon, two inches of rain the next day.

Any card or component on the main weather tab can be pressed or tapped to open a details screen that offers more weather-related data, such as daily summaries, moon phase graphs and daily and hourly graphs for each weather data point.

CARROT Weather 5.0 is more customizable than before with an integrated Interface Maker tool to rearrange the Weather tab, add new components, adjust the design and more, with the app described as the most customizable weather app on the market.

Customization options will be unlocked in stages over three days of use to prevent users from being overwhelmed and customized interfaces can be saved as presets. CARROT will also come with a number of predefined predefined options with different color schemes and layout.

The app includes over 2,000 lines of new dialogues, 20 new achievements, 30 alternative app icons, eight secret locations and other Easter eggs to discover.

In the future, CARROT Weather will be free to download with an optional premium subscription available. Existing customers will be able to keep all features of the original version of the app forever and will have their current Premium Club price blocked. Before, the app price was $ 4.99 with an optional subscription, and from now on, the new version will have ads, but they will be ads for other indie apps or fake products.

A premium subscription layer of $ 4.99 per month / $ 19.99 per year unlocks features like weather data sources, notifications, personalization, widgets and complications from Apple Watch, while a Premium Ultra subscription for $ 9.99 per month or $ 39.99 per year includes all Premium features along with notifications for rain, lightning and storm cells, a weather map widget and quick data source change.

There is also a Premium Family plan that includes all the features of Premium Ultra that can be shared with up to five family members. The price is $ 14.99 a month or $ 59.99 a year.

CARROT Weather can be downloaded for free from the App Store. [Direct Link]
