Cardi B finally ended a two-year, $ 30 million legal battle with ex-manager Klenord ‘Shaft’ Raphael, with the whole case being ‘closed with prejudice’.

“This lawsuit, including all claims and counterclaims, is dismissed in its entirety to the detriment of all parties,” declared court documents of December 24, which were obtained by AllHipHop on Sunday.

This means that Shaft’s 2018 lawsuit and Cardi’s counter-action cannot be brought to court at any time in the future.

Shaft and Cardi also agreed to pay all of their own legal costs, with court documents stating: ‘The parties further agreed that all parties to this action will bear their own costs and attorneys’ fees.’

Upon entering Twitter, the 28-year-old rapper celebrated the end of her legal problems with Shaft, writing: ‘Feel free’.

Shaft, who claimed to have discovered the hitmaker WAP in 2015 and secured her a spot on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop, filed a ‘$ 10 million breach of lawsuit’ against her in April 2018.

Specifically, Cardi’s former manager claimed that she abandoned the deal to sign with Atlanta-based management company Quality Control, which also represents her husband’s rap group, Migos.

He also claimed to have ‘connected’ Cardi to the essential ‘publishers and producers’ who created his hit single, Bodak Yellow, who catapulted her to stardom in the summer of 2017.

In response, Cardi and her lawyers filed a $ 30 million lawsuit in July 2018, claiming that Shaft had established an “unilateral” and “unfair” management agreement with her since she signed without a lawyer, according to TMZ and AllHipHop.

According to the counter-suit, Shaft ‘received a 20% commission’, but tried to get even more commission from Cardi’s music publishing deal with Sony. ‘Cardi says he demanded 50% of that deal.’

Rapper Bodak Yellow also suggested that Shaft tried to control aspects of his personal life, such as his romantic relationship with her now husband, Offset, 28.

He would be putting up ‘barriers between her and people close to her in an effort to maintain full control over her’ and telling her ‘who she should and shouldn’t see romantically’, according to documents obtained by TMZ in 2018.

The legal battle between the duo, which lasted more than two years, allegedly ‘hindered Cardi’s recording career – and millions in royalties owed by his Atlantic Records label’ during that period ‘, as reported by AllHipHop.
