In the January 21 episode of his new Facebook Watch series called Cardi Tries, Cardi B entered the wonderful world of making wigs. She visited Giovanni & Son’s human hair wigmakers to learn the process of making a human hair wig, which ended up being presented by a fan who lost her hair due to cancer treatments. And yes, you will laugh and cry several times throughout the 11-minute video.
Cardi joined his friends Kway and Tokyo Stylez in the process of making wigs, with the three of them learning to weigh and “hack” human hair imported from India, which is then hand-tied in individual “wefts”. Finally, the wefts are sewn into bundles, which are transformed into full wigs.
As soon as Cardi understood better the arduous process of making the wigs, she was ready to do something incredible with her new knowledge. So, she worked with the Giovanni & Son team to put a cardi B on some wigs that went to people with cancer.
“It goes to a little girl – I want to see the pictures and everything because I did it with love,” said Cardi while packing a wig full of pink stripes. And the 11-year-old clip of Khloe opening her Cardi B wig will make you cry.
“Wigs are expensive,” said Cardi at the end of the episode. “I’m very happy that the wig I made today – with some help, you know what I’m saying – is going to be donated. I hope it goes to someone very special.”
Absolutely. Khloe was in tears while trying on her wig, just like us. “It’s pink,” she said through tears. “Thank you so much. This is so beautiful.”
