Cardi B is giving her two cents on a viral TikTok sound called Sad Song, which swept the platform last month.

The WAP hitmaker took her thoughts to Twitter on Friday morning, where she gave a special shout out to the original creator of the sound – which was revealed to be Gia Giudice, daughter of veterinarian Teresa Giudice of the Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Talking about the now inevitable melody – a song that Gia originally wrote and played on the Bravo show when she was 10 years old – Cardi joked that she would miss the song if she deleted the app.

The song, which uses the catchphrase: ‘Waking up in the morning / thinking about so many things / I just wanted things to get better …’ was combined with countless user videos about memorable and often worthy things credit they have done done in the past.

Responding to the resurgence of music on the platform, Gia, 20, joked ‘This will haunt me my whole life’, but Cardi showing her a little love made all the difference.

‘Thinking about deleting this app until I drop my next little project … but, again, where am I going to listen to’ waking up in the morning thinking about so many things that I just wanted things to get better ‘?’ Cardi tweeted.

A shocked Gia wrote: ‘this is unreal !! CARDI I’m in the Bahamas, let’s meet.

Other celebrities, including Will Smith, combined their own videos with the sound, Smith wrote: ‘Remembering the time when I thought it would be a good idea to make a St. Patrick’s Day video alone in a hotel room.’

Gia gave people what they wanted on Friday, when she made her own version and wrote ‘here you go …’

The song was originally written as an expression of her sadness over her mother Teresa’s explosive struggle with her brother and RHONJ star Joe Gorga in 2011.
