The mother of a man who is accused of carrying ties in the US Capitol building on January 6 was arrested Saturday in Tennessee, accused of entering the Capitol building.
Lisa Eisenhart, 56, was charged with conspiracy, entering a restricted building and violent entry or disorderly conduct. Her son, Eric Munchel, was arrested on January 10 on similar charges.
“As Congress was engaged in the official task of certifying the vote of the electoral college, [Eisenhart] and [Munchel] Consciously and intentionally, he joined a crowd of individuals to forcibly enter the United States Capitol with the intention of causing a civil disturbance designed to prevent, interrupt and disrupt the orderly conduct of business by the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate, “an arrest statement reading.

Police say this photo depicts Eric Munchel carrying “flexible handcuffs (plastic restraints)” that are “used by law enforcement to restrict and / or detain individuals” within the Senate chamber.
The police obtained photos of what they believe to be Lisa Eisenhart and Eric Munchel leaving a Grand Hyatt Hotel at 12:37 pm before the riot, on the Capitol lawn during the riot, and inside the Capitol.
Police said Eisenhart is wearing similar clothes in every photo they have of her, including “a distinctive plaid shirt, tactical vest, jeans and glasses”.

“Video footage from inside the US Capitol captures [Eisenhart] and [Munchel] in the vicinity of a crowd of individuals who are physically attacking two Capitol police officers who guard the entrance to the Senate chambers, “says the deposition.” The footage eventually shows policemen running by [Eisenhart] and [Munchel]; several members of the mob are chasing him. Right after they pass, [Eisenhart] and [Munchel] follow immediately after the individuals chasing the officers. Eisenhart was arrested and charged at Davidson County Prison just before 1 pm on Saturday.

FBI director Christopher Wray said on Thursday that more than 100 people have already been arrested for their involvement in the Capitol riot.
“See what’s happening now with the people who were involved in the Capitol siege,” Wray told Vice President Mike Pence at a briefing. “Wherever they spread – whether Memphis, Phoenix, Dallas, Honolulu – what they are finding out is that we have FBI agents tracking and arresting them.”
