Last year, Capcom suffered a leak revealing a game called Resident Evil Outbreak was scheduled for a launch in the fourth quarter of 2021.
As previously stated by Capcom insider Dusk Golem, this title is apparently Resident Evil Revelations 3 (or at least it was originally named that way at some point during development) and will be a “Switch-focused RE game”, but not exclusive to the platform.
The same insider has now supported previous claims – stating that the game will arrive “within a year of [Resident Evil] The launch of Village “, due out in May this year, and will be part of Capcom’s big celebrations for its 25th anniversary for its long series of survival horror.
“It’s not mine, but for the record, Revelations 3 will be released within a year of the Village’s release date, either in late 2021 or early 2022.
“The launches as part of the 25th anniversary celebrations, along with the Village, will almost definitely be an exclusive event scheduled by Switch. But this will be announced later this year, for now the Village is deserving of attention and will be launched in just a few months. now!”
Dusk Golem goes on to state how the game is “100%” running on the RE Engine used by Capcom Monster Hunter Rise and although it is a “timed exclusive”, it will be launching “at all” as a cross-generation game. It was also mentioned how Rebecca would still be the protagonist:
“I first heard about Rev 3 in 2017 that would be starring Rebecca, and I’ve been updated several times over the years, it’s still a game Rebecca. lips are closed for now. “
Previously, Dusk Golem shed light on a new Monster Hunter game for Switch well before the official announcement – explaining how it would work on the RE Engine.
The last entry in the Revelations line was Resident Evil Revelations 2 – an episodic version of the survival horror series, which was originally released in 2015 and appeared on the Switch in 2017.
