‘Candyman’? The TikTok user removes the bathroom mirror from the New York apartment and discovers a hidden secret

Mirror, mirror on the wall, is this apartment the scariest of all?

A New Yorker got a frightening surprise when she went hunting for a draft – and found an abandoned apartment behind the bathroom mirror.

Samantha Hartsoe rocked TikTok with a shocking tour of the disturbing discovery, in a four-part video saga posted on the platform on Wednesday and Thursday. Hartsoe’s first clip announcing the alarming news was seen 7.5 million times.

“I’m in my Cirty apartment in New York and it’s cold. No matter how hot it is, I’m cold,” she explained. Tracking the draft in his bathroom, Hartscoe said he felt cold air flowing from a notch in the door. Searching, she realized that the cold air was coming from the mirror.

“And I notice that the mirror moves,” said Hartscoe, shocked.

In the second clip, the New Yorker removes the mirror to reveal an unfinished room on the other side.

Showing the vision to two friends, his friend John asked himself “What if someone is living there now?”

“The strangest part about it is that they didn’t fill either side of that hole,” said Hartscoe. “I have to go in and find out what’s on the other side of my bathroom.”

Equipped with a face mask, gloves and sneakers – in addition to a flashlight on her head and a self-defense hammer, she jumped through the hole in the wall, as seen in the third clip, posted on Thursday morning.

In the final video, Hartscoe wandered around the “other entire apartment”, although an unfinished apartment that did not seem to fit the code. Inside, she found garbage bags and a bottle of water as the only “signs of life” apparent.

“It’s freezing here!” she said. She also took the opportunity to lock what appeared to be the main entrance to the abandoned apartment.

The video then quickly advances to Hartscoe at home, where she proudly declares that “she came out alive!

Social media users were horrified by what Hartscoe discovered, comparing the second space with the plot of the violent film “Candyman”, released in 1992 and due to open in August with a remake directed by Jordan Peele.

“I sell that woman [sic] climb the bathroom mirror in the Tiktok apartment knowing that Candyman is on the other side ” wrote.

“Someone clearly didn’t watch CANDYMAN”, a echoed

“Generation Z needs to watch Candyman, apparently,” another awake.
