Well, that quickly increased.
A common Twitter dispute between Cardi B and Candace Owens late on Tuesday ended with Owens claiming that he plans to sue Cardi for posting a Photoshop tweet suggesting that Owens’ husband cheated on her with his brother. Did you understand all that?
Cardi had posted a clip of Owens talking on Fox News, in which she said Cardi and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” Grammy performance “looks like we’re looking at corrosion, as if we’re about to see the end of an empire.”
Owens replied to Cardi’s tweet calling it “a cancer cell to grow” and, well, things only got worse from there.
After a little more coming and going, let’s jump, Cardi posted a tweet, supposedly from Owens, who says: “Yes, my husband cheated on me with my brother. Yes, he said no when I asked to join them. ”
Owens replied calling the Photoshop work tweet while Cardi pointed to some tricky blogs who captured the image and reported it as if it were real.
Owens’ next move was claiming that it would involve lawyers for Cardi’s “slander” against his brother, “a private citizen”, adding, “I just spoke to my family. I am 100% suing Cardi for this absurdity ”, shortly afterwards.
Owens was apparently comfortable with letting the matter go, while Cardi continued to tweet about the situation, concluding “Broadcast and buy [her latest single] UP ”, next to an image of former First Lady Melania Trump, who had previously been dragged into all this confusion.
