Candace Cameron Bure defends family photo response against online critics

Candace Cameron Bure is not ashamed to fight her haters online.

The “Fuller House” actress, 44, recently made headlines after clapping against online trolls who criticized a family photo on Instagram, in which she shared good luck for a positive 2021 year.

In an interview with Extra, Bure opened up about how to respond to her online critics and the actress has no regrets.

“Listen, on social media, everyone is criticized, and if you’re a celebrity, I mean, it comes with territory and I can handle it,” said Bure. “But the second someone starts criticizing my kids, or saying negative things like that, Mom Bear leaves.”

“I just had to remind people that there are real people with real feelings behind the screen and I’m not posting about their negativity. In that case, I was simply sharing a family photo that was so beautiful to me. Even a suggestion from people criticizing my family photo that I wouldn’t take. “

Bure’s response came after a January 2 incident in which social media users criticized the actress and her family portrait on Instagram. The 44-year-old woman was not very pleased when some said the photo looked “strange” and looked like “an Ralph Lauren ad”, while others scoffed at some of their children’s expressions.

In an interview with Extra, Bure opened up about how to respond to her online critics and the actress has no regrets.

“Wow, I post a family photo and you all find everything you don’t like about it or that you can make fun of. Do better than that. Please,” replied Bure at the time.

The actress also recently spoke to E! “Daily Pop”, explaining that despite her celebrity status “people forget” that she is a “real person”.

“I was just sharing a family Christmas card. And it is so strange to me that people have the audacity to write horrible and negative comments. Like, you would never say that to someone’s face,” Bure told the channel.
