CAA leaves Marilyn Manson following allegations of abuse by Evan Rachel Wood

After Evan Rachel Wood publicly nominated Marilyn Manson on allegations of domestic violence and rape that she talked about for years, Hollywood talent agency CAA confirmed the Variety that dropped it. Manson was represented for years at CAA; the agency also represents Wood.

On Monday morning, Wood posted on Instagram: “The name of my attacker is Brian Warner, also known worldwide as Marilyn Manson. He started taking care of me when I was a teenager and terribly abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated until submission. I’m tired of living in fear of retaliation, slander or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and summon the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins more lives. I have many victims who will not remain silent. “

Monday night, Manson denied the accusations, also on Instagram, writing: “Obviously, my art and my life have been magnets for controversy, but these recent statements about me are horrible distortions of reality,” he wrote. “My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how – and why – others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth. “

But the consequences for Manson were swift. His label Loma Vista Recordings, which was behind his three most recent albums, left him on Monday afternoon, hours after Wood’s Instagram post. In addition, an AMC Networks spokesman confirmed Variety that an episode from the anthology of Shudder’s series “Creepshow” with Manson was ruled out And Starz, which airs “American Gods”, in which Manson has a recurring role in the current third season, is reissuing an upcoming episode of the series to remove him from it.

And now CAA has dropped it. Manson’s manager did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
