The video captures the moment when a buyer took off his panties to use as a face mask, having been warned she wouldn’t be served without him while she was at the supermarket.
The incident was filmed at a Pick n Pay supermarket in South Africa, where the shopper was asked to wear a face cover while in the store.
However, she said she didn’t have one, which means she needed to be creative.
In the clip, the security guard can be seen asking the woman to put on a face mask, threatening to remove her from the store if she doesn’t put one on.
The woman then reaches under the dress and takes off her panties, before putting it on her face like an improvised mask.
Another buyer appears to congratulate her, saying, “Very well.”
Since then, the clip has gone viral, although not everyone believes in women she was right with her substitute facial coverage, with many social media users advocating the mandatory use of masks.

Other commented: “It makes me sick. She knows the law all over the world. We have a serious virus and [she thinks] a dental floss will save you.
“We are going to grow up. What should your family think?”
In December 2020, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa stressed that not wearing a face mask in public is a crime.
Announcing that it would be mandatory for everyone to wear a mask in a public space, he said: “Now we know that the simplest and most effective way to reduce coronavirus transmission is to use a cloth mask that covers your nose and mouth whenever you are in public.
“Until now, owners and managers of stores and public buildings, employers and public transport operators have a legal responsibility to ensure that everyone who enters their premises or vehicles wears a mask.
“But due to the grave danger that our country now faces, adjusted level 3 regulations will make each individual legally responsible for wearing a mask in public.
“A person who does not wear a mask can be arrested and prosecuted.
“When convicted, they will be punished with a fine or imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months or with a fine and imprisonment.”
