Whether your team is in a streak of 11 consecutive defeats or not, this is totally unacceptable, but in this case, it is a microcosm of the many problems this team currently faces. In the case of Monday night, it was just the beginning of what turned out to be a regrettable effort, which gave Caps goalkeeper Vitek Vanecek his first career stoppage.

Buffalo had one of his best chances in the middle of the game in a three-on-one opportunity, and they blew it completely. The 6-0 defeat on Monday night was just the beginning of a busy week for the Sabers fighters. It’s a quick turnaround when Buffalo heads to New Jersey to face Devils on Tuesday night, then returns home to host Boston Bruins on Thursday and Saturday. They will also play four games next week. There is no rest for the tired, but there is still more than half of the season left. With a losing streak that already reaches 11 games, how much more will it reach?
