Buffalo Bills’ Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley questionable for playoff game against Indianapolis Colts

ORCHARD PARK, NY – When Buffalo Bills hosts their first playoff game in more than two decades on Saturday, there is a chance that they will do so without their two biggest wide receivers.

Stefon Diggs (oblique injury) and Cole Beasley (knee) are listed as questionable for Saturday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Beasley suffered his injury at the end of Buffalo’s 16 week victory over New England and missed the team’s regular season final against Miami. Coach Sean McDermott called Beasley “week after week” before the Dolphins’ game and kept that designation throughout this week.

NFL leader in receptions and reception yards, Diggs was limited in the inspection of the Bills on Tuesday, before losing training on Wednesday. He and Beasley participated to a limited extent in the week’s final team training on Thursday.

“I’m fine, no big deal,” said Diggs during a rare media appearance on Wednesday for a player in the injury report. “Don’t believe everything you read.”

McDermott said Thursday morning that Diggs and Beasley’s status for Saturday is uncertain, despite Diggs’ self-diagnosis.

“I’m not sure yet, let’s see,” said McDermott. “I appreciate where it comes from, but at the end of the day, I’m always concerned when the guys are in the training room, whoever it is.”

If Diggs and Beasley lose time, John Brown, Gabriel Davis and Isaiah McKenzie will become the main recipients of Bills; rookie Davis was second on the team with seven touchdowns this season.
