Buckingham Palace breaks silence in Meghan and Harry’s explosive interview with Oprah

Buckingham Palace finally responded on Tuesday to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

“The whole family is saddened to learn how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan,” says the Buckingham Palace statement on behalf of Queen Elizabeth. “The issues raised, especially regarding race, are worrisome. Although some memories may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be handled by the family in particular. ”

“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be very dear family members,” added the statement, shared with HuffPost.

The answer came two days after the prime time CBS special of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with the media mogul, which aired Sunday night. In the two-hour interview, Harry and Meghan presented their side of their royal setback story for the first time.

Meghan told Winfrey that she had thought of suicide during her lowest moments in “The Firm”, as the establishment of the royal family is known, and she also revealed that certain (anonymous) members of the royal family had raised “concerns and conversations” before of his son Archie was born about how dark his skin can be.

The duke opened up about his struggles with a “fanatical” British press and felt “trapped” in the royal family, and corrected reports that he had surprised his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, with news of the couple’s decision to retreat as more of the royal family.
