BTS: Last year, Big Hit Entertainment took legal action against perpetrators and malicious activities against BTS. The agency released a new update regarding the process.
BTS REVEALS ‘Big Hit agency filing new complaints against malicious activity in updating legal processes
BTS fans are already aware that Big Hit Entertainment has been working to take legal action against commentators and malicious internet activity. The agency, which handles K-pop artists RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Suga, has issued statements in the past to give the fandom an update on the procedures. In the last update of the process, the agency revealed that it has new criminal complaints based on the information sent by several fans and the information collected based on its own monitoring.
In a shared statement on Weverse, Big Hit explained: “This includes perpetrators who were previously found guilty and sentenced to fines, as well as individuals who are presumed to be involved in malicious activities, even when under investigation after we have filed criminal complaints against them. these individuals, we will initiate legal proceedings against them until their malicious behavior stops completely. ”
They revealed that some individuals have created dozens of accounts for malicious posts. “We monitor these accounts and file complaints against multiple accounts,” added the agency. Big Hit further warned: “For perpetrators who continue to engage in criminal activities after being found guilty in court, we plan to file a civil court indemnity process. Big Hit will continue to initiate strict measures to ensure that perpetrators prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and there will be no agreement or leniency. ”
They asked fans to share information about malicious posts against BTS and report any cases of abuse. “We are always grateful for the care and dedication of our fans to BTS. We will continue to work to ensure that the rights of our artists are fully protected ”, concluded the agency.
