The woman who is in charge of many Britney Spears‘personal choices for about 2 years now have done a good job – so says Britney herself, who is asking to bring her permanently – but her lawyer wants to reserve the right to end the guardianship.
New court documents have been filed in the case of Britney’s guardianship, and they reveal that the singer wants Jodi Montgomery to become her new full-time conservative from now on … while noticing that she asked for her father, Jamie Spears, to resign from office forever.
According to the paperwork obtained by TMZ, Britney notes that Jamie temporarily relinquished power in September 2019 … and Jodi was named temporary conservative of her person at that time. Now it looks like Britney wants to keep Jodi in the position going forward. Sources connected to the case tell us … Jamie has no objection to the change, and Britney really likes Jodi in that role. He’s fine with that.

As for the difference between Britney’s conservative and Britney’s estate – the last of which Jamie is still co-conservative alongside the Bessemer Trust Company – is that Jodi is basically responsible for Brit’s personal decisions, which involves a lot in her day-to-day life.
Doctors explain exactly what they want Jodi to keep running with regards to Britney’s well-being – which includes powers to limit visitors (as long as she doesn’t have restricted access to lawyers), retain caregivers and security guards for Britney , process any civil harassment restraining orders that may arise and the power to communicate with the medical team regarding any treatment for Britney.
As a co-conservator of the property, Jamie still plays a role in managing her finances and business decisions.
Here is another interesting line in the documents that the Britney team has submitted … “The petitioner expressly reserves the right to petition this termination under section 1861 of the Succession Code. Nothing in the petition will be considered a waiver of that right . ” Do what you want … but it is underlined and in bold.
