Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor spoke about the now infamous violent sex scenes on the Netflix show.
The actress, who plays the main character Daphne in the hugely popular Regency drama, said she “said she should have an orgasm” while filming a solo sex scene.

Speaking in a new interview for Glamor, Phoebe openly revealed the difficulties the actors faced in filming the hottest scenes, especially when it came to exploring her character’s emerging sexuality.
‘There is not much sexuality there. It’s much more of a masculine look, ‘Phoebe told Glamor. ‘I wanted to do [my character] feel modern and have sexual desires, like women, and have a lot going on that is not superficial. ‘
She remembers a specific scene that required her character to masturbate, saying it was ‘the most difficult scene’ to shoot.
‘The stage instructions are very specific: you have to have an orgasm. It is a difficult thing to rehearse, which means it is not. Just do it, ‘she said.

It is believed that the second season will begin production in the spring, Netflix has not yet confirmed which characters will officially return for the second season or more details.
The first series had a strong focus on the love story of Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings, and Daphne Bridgerton.
The two characters begin as friends as a trick to trick London’s elite and Lady Whistledown herself, before inadvertently falling in love.
