Brian Daboll of Buffalo Bills, connected to the opening of the Texans coach

Buffalo Bills may have a third team to worry about in the loss of offensive coordinator Brian Daboll: The Houston Texans.

Daboll, who gave interviews with the Jets and Chargers on Sunday, was connected to the Texans via ESPN recently.

Last week, Texans chose former New England Patriots member Nick Caserio as their next general manager. Because of Daboll and Caserio’s ties to the Patriots, ESPN believes there is interest:

Daboll is believed to be a candidate for the Texans, Jets and Chargers, and he has interviews planned with the last two teams on Sunday after his team’s playoff game with the Colts, according to a source. He has connections with New England (he was on the technical team from 2000 to 2006 and again from 2013 to 2016) that could help him with the brain trust of Jack Easterby / Nick Caserio in Houston. And he went to the same school as Chargers GM Tom Telesco.

While Texans may be interested in Daboll, there is still no concrete report that Daboll is being interviewed for employment.

Texans are also experiencing a bit of turmoil these days. The future of quarterback Deshaun Watson with the organization has been questioned recently because, according to Texans Wire, QB was not very happy with Caserio’s signing.

With all this going on, it remains to be seen whether someone like Daboll would be interested in such a job.
