Former Wisconsin Badger coach Bret Bielema is working to fill his new coaching staff in Illinois after taking over as chief coach on December 19.
One of his first moves was to make ex-Badger Terrance Jamison his new defensive line coach. Today he continued the trend of hiring his former players for his team, naming Aaron Henry as the school’s new defense coach.
Henry played for the 2007-2011 Badgers, starting 27 combined games in 2010 and 2011, during which he recorded 6 interceptions, 17 defended passes, 1 forced fumble, 3 fumble recoveries, 125 tackles in total and 3.5 tackles for defeat.
The former Badger will now meet with his former coach in Illinois, while Bielema and his team work to put the Illini football program in the right direction.
