Breath of the Wild 2 details accidentally leaked by Nintendo

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 details were revealed by Nintendo, but it appears that the details may have been shared accidentally ahead of schedule. Since Nintendo and Eiji Aonuma announced and revealed the game at E3 2019, we have seen nothing of the sequel and have heard virtually nothing about the game. According to a recent leak, the game Switch and Switch Lite may be released sooner than we think and, if that is the case, we should start seeing and hearing more about the game soon. That said, at the moment, it is still crickets, which makes this new information even more remarkable.

The new details come in the form of a new official Nintendo marketing pamphlet that is in circulation. And according to the pamphlet, the underground location, Zonai Cave, that Link and Zelda are in the game’s reveal trailer is actually under Hyrule Castle, which fans have theorized, but so far have not been confirmed.

“Finally, Link and Zelda return in the eagerly awaited successor to an unforgettable action adventure The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, with series producer Eiji Aonuma promising a darker adventure this time, “says the pamphlet.” In the depths of the caves below Hyrule Castle, a new and powerful threat awakes. Can our courageous heroes save the kingdom again? “

Unfortunately, this is where the details end. Furthermore, while the word for a “dark adventure” and “a powerful new threat awakens” may be new to some, in fact we already knew about all of this. That said, while the new details are sparse, it is good to have confirmation that the location in the trailer was indeed under Hyrule Castle.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is in development for the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite and possibly the supposed Super Switch. At the time of publication, there was no word on a release date or even a launch window, but rumors and leaks suggest that it will be released sometime this year, or at least that is the plan.
