Bobby Green will not fight at UFC 258 after experiencing a minor health scare.
After canceling his UFC 258 main card fight against Jim Miller, Green went to Instagram to offer a brief explanation of the events that led to his removal.

In the first post, Green describes cutting weight as one of the “three slopes that I need to overcome in the fight”. In a subsequent post, he explains that he was forced to withdraw due to problems with his lungs and kidneys.
“So, to be clear, I have air pockets in my lungs, I think, and my kidneys have failed,” wrote Green. “I messed up my back in training. I thought it was just a pain from that. “
Green and Miller successfully weighed in on Friday morning at 155.5 pounds, with Green being the last fighter to step on the scale. However, there did not seem to be any cause for concern, as he appeared with more than 15 minutes remaining at the designated weighing window.
Neither Green nor Miller attended the staredowns, which prompted UFC president Dana White to be questioned about absences in a media dispute after the clashes.
“Bobby Green just passed out there,” said White. “The doctors are looking for him. They are trying to rehydrate you now. “
UFC officials later confirmed to MMA Fighting that Green and Miller’s fight was canceled, although no further details have been provided on Green’s state of health.
