Viewers of Netflix’s new reality show, Bling Empire, are labeling one of the series’ romantic relationships as’ abusive ‘, accusing a star of being a’ lighter ‘and a’ living red flag ‘.
The show, which is heralded as the real-life version of the hit movie Crazy Rich Asians, debuted on January 15th – and already, fans have stuffed themselves with everything and rated the plot and the stars on social media.
Many Twitter critics have expressed particular concern about the relationship between Kelly Mi Li, 35, and actor Andrew Gray, 33, with some saying that Netflix should have included a warning about abusive relationships with the program.

The show includes several scenes that document Kelly’s relationship with Andrew, who played the red Power Ranger in Power Rangers Megaforce from 2013 to 2014.
In the opening episode, the couple is taken to Paris by a wealthy friend for Kelly’s birthday – where Andrew started yelling at her for shopping without him while he took a nap.

He even told her that she couldn’t leave the hotel without him.
To make matters worse, Kelly admits that Andrew ‘gets this bad mood or episodes’ regularly, saying to the camera, ‘Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Drew has yelled at me or talked to me like that.’
In another scene, when her friend Kevin asks what she gains from the relationship, her response is: ‘He doesn’t sleep around.’
On one occasion, Kelly leaves a recording studio where Andrew is working with a friend after he started yelling at her about his decision to discuss their relationship with his friends.
Andrew’s volatile behavior sends the couple to therapy, where Kelly ends up deciding that she no longer wants to continue the relationship – although at the end of the series she is seen returning to his home, leaving the status of her romance a mystery.
But while the reality show star may have been able to forgive and forget her partner’s outbursts, viewers of the Netflix show were horrified by her “abusive” actions.

Many went so far as to say that he demonstrates many behaviors of abusive men.

Several have even urged Netflix to add a warning to the show for sensitive viewers.
One explained: ‘The Bling Empire needs a warning about abusive relationships when it comes to scenes with Kelly and Andrew. I don’t like watching reality shows and being on the edge worrying about someone’s safety all the time. ‘
Talking about his relationship with Distractify after the show’s debut, Kelly said, ‘In Asian culture, you don’t wash your dirty laundry … whatever happens at home, it’s to stay indoors.
