Viewers of Netflix’s new reality show, Bling Empire, are labeling one of the series’ romantic relationships as’ abusive ‘, accusing a star of being a’ lighter ‘and a’ living red flag ‘.
The show, which is heralded as the real-life version of the hit movie Crazy Rich Asians, debuted on January 15th – and already, fans have stuffed themselves with everything and rated the plot and the stars on social media.
Many Twitter critics have expressed particular concern about the relationship between Kelly Mi Li, 35, and actor Andrew Gray, 33, with some saying that Netflix should have included a warning about abusive relationships with the program.

Damn: viewers of Netflix’s new reality show, Bling Empire, are labeling one of the show’s romantic relationships as “abusive”

Upset: fans are describing actor Andrew Gray as “toxic” to Kelly Mi Li

Evidence: they point to his behavior on the show, for example, how he yelled at Kelly for going shopping without him while he slept

Nice guy: Kelly got the call while in a store and put it on speaker while Andrew shouted and scolded her

If you say: he insisted that she shouldn’t have left the hotel room without him

So he is the victim now: Later, when the pair talked about the incident, he cried
The show includes several scenes that document Kelly’s relationship with Andrew, who played the red Power Ranger in Power Rangers Megaforce from 2013 to 2014.
In the opening episode, the couple is taken to Paris by a wealthy friend for Kelly’s birthday – where Andrew started yelling at her for shopping without him while he took a nap.

Claim to fame: Andrew starred as the red Power Ranger in Power Rangers Megaforce from 2013 to 2014
‘What the hell is happening?’ he yells into the phone. ‘Your lack of effort makes me fucking crazy.’
He even told her that she couldn’t leave the hotel without him.
To make matters worse, Kelly admits that Andrew ‘gets this bad mood or episodes’ regularly, saying to the camera, ‘Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Drew has yelled at me or talked to me like that.’
In another scene, when her friend Kevin asks what she gains from the relationship, her response is: ‘He doesn’t sleep around.’
On one occasion, Kelly leaves a recording studio where Andrew is working with a friend after he started yelling at her about his decision to discuss their relationship with his friends.
Andrew’s volatile behavior sends the couple to therapy, where Kelly ends up deciding that she no longer wants to continue the relationship – although at the end of the series she is seen returning to his home, leaving the status of her romance a mystery.
But while the reality show star may have been able to forgive and forget her partner’s outbursts, viewers of the Netflix show were horrified by her “abusive” actions.

It is not alright! Viewers of the show are horrified by Andrew’s behavior, calling him a ‘psychopath’ and saying that Kelly needs to get away from him
‘Does anyone else think Red Power Ranger can be psychopathic? It makes my skin crawl, ‘wrote one.
‘Kelly is so sweet and adorable that I just need her to leave Andrew as soon as possible. This man is scary. The expression in his eyes? said another.
‘Ummm, is Kelly okay? That guy from Andrew is literally a red flag alive and breathing !!! ‘said one more.
Yet another saying described Andrew as ‘the definition of a GAS LIGHTER !!’
Many went so far as to say that he demonstrates many behaviors of abusive men.
‘I’m not a psychiatrist, but this red Power Ranger, Andrew Gray, in #blingempire looks like a super toxic f *** kid. When he speaks, it seems like a lie. It seems that Kelly has an emotionally abusive relationship with him and she needs to run away from him, not walk! ‘wrote one.
“Andrew wants privacy so he can abuse Kelly in particular without consequences,” said another.

Attention! Several say their abusive behavior is being triggered and Netflix should include a warning

Uh-oh: Kelly said ‘it was just the dynamics of my relationship with Andrew’
“Watching Kelly and Andrew is awful and I imagine it is the trigger for many people who have been in abusive relationships,” added another.
Several have even urged Netflix to add a warning to the show for sensitive viewers.
One explained: ‘The Bling Empire needs a warning about abusive relationships when it comes to scenes with Kelly and Andrew. I don’t like watching reality shows and being on the edge worrying about someone’s safety all the time. ‘
Talking about his relationship with Distractify after the show’s debut, Kelly said, ‘In Asian culture, you don’t wash your dirty laundry … whatever happens at home, it’s to stay indoors.
‘So for us, it was just the dynamics of my relationship with Andrew. Most people did not know how difficult it was at times. People kind of see our happy moments when we’re away, but there are a lot of difficult times. ‘
She did not, however, want to share whether they are still a couple.
Their Instagram accounts, however, indicate that they may have officially closed the process. Although the two shared many photos between 2015 and 2019, the last photo together appears to have been posted in 2019.
